Israel has begun a massive military operation named "The Rising Lion"
which included extensive airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities and Iranian military sites such as "Natanz" and "Khandab" and "Khorramabad", in addition to the homes of leaders in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Sources report at least 78 people killed and over 329 others injured, including senior leaders in the Revolutionary Guard such as:

Several nuclear scientists.
Iran responds with a wide drone attack
More than 100 drones were launched towards Israeli targets during the night, coinciding with missile launches. This is the first time Iran has responded directly in this round of escalation.
The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei
threatened Israel with a "painful and bitter fate", while the Iranian Foreign Minister described the attacks as a "declaration of war", asserting that the response would be decisive.
The United States' position (with Trump returning to power)
Trump stated that Iran "brought it upon itself" and that it faces two options: "make a deal" or face a "full-scale conflict". He also urged Iran not to escalate matters further.
Global markets are shaken
Oil prices rose by more than 6%, and air travel in the region experienced major disruptions, with warnings of a potential outbreak of a comprehensive regional war.
