#TrumpTariffs is a term used to refer to the tariffs imposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump during his term (2017–2021). The main goal of these tariffs was to reduce the trade deficit and protect domestic manufacturing, especially against competition from China. Trump imposed tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars worth of imported goods, particularly steel, aluminum, and technology products from China. These tariffs led to a trade war, increased the prices of goods, and impacted both American businesses and consumers. Despite being controversial, this policy clearly reflects the 'America First' stance in international trade.
