#TrumpTariffs

Donald Trump surprised everyone on Thursday by publicly acknowledging that his hyper-aggressive immigration policy is causing labor shortages in key sectors of the economy:

Agriculture, hospitality, and entertainment.

📉 “We are running out of very good workers with many years of experience,” he wrote on Truth Social. Many of those jobs have historically been held by undocumented immigrants.

These sectors are already reporting losses due to lack of personnel. In Trump's own words: “They are almost impossible to replace.”

🚨

The massive ICE raids in meatpacking plants, stores, and agricultural fields (such as in Omaha or California's Central Valley) have sparked protests in Los Angeles that are now spreading across the country. Just this week, more than 70 immigrants were arrested in Nebraska alone. In California, videos show workers fleeing the fields.

📊 Who will do those jobs? Undocumented immigrants represent:

🌾17% of agriculture•

🛠 13% of construction•

🪴 19% of gardening•

🍽️ High percentage in hospitality and restaurants

💰Additionally, they contribute billions in taxes: $89.9 billion in 2023, according to the American Immigration Council.
