Trump: "I have no intention of firing Powell"

At an event at the White House on Thursday, President Trump stated that he has no intention of doing so, just a few days after saying he would soon choose someone to lead the central bank.

Fake news is claiming that "If he fires Powell, it will be very bad, really bad." I don't understand why it would be bad, but I do not intend to fire him.

It is known that Powell is the person whom Trump personally nominated for the chair of the FED during his first presidential term.
