CRYPTO USERS FAIL AT "BASIC SITUATIONAL AWARENESS" in cryptocurrency events, according to Kraken.
(Also in their everyday lives)
The security team at Kraken claims that, at crypto conferences, they have seen unlocked laptops, unattended phones, and more.
According to the exchange's head of security, Nick Percoco, in a blog post from June 5, he states:
"If you are involved in cryptocurrencies, your digital device is not just a phone or a laptop. It is a safe for you, your crypto assets, and the overall operations of your business," he said. "Always keep your devices close and locked when you are not using them."
He adds: "Essentially, in the cryptocurrency space, you are your own bank. And it is incredibly difficult to achieve the promise of financial freedom if personal and operational security is not prioritized above all else."
Remember that the crypto world is a leap towards decentralizing your finances, as well as your independence and economic freedom, but all of this entails a high degree of maturity and responsibility that you must assume in your everyday life.
