#TrumpTariffs US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of tariffs on imports from 60 countries ranging from 10% to 49%. According to Trump, this is necessary to correct the trade balance and protect national security.
The US introduced a "base" tariff of 10% on most countries around the world, which took effect on April 5. Increased tariffs were also imposed by the US against its key trading partners: the European Union received 20%, Japan — 24%, South Korea — 25%. Initially, a tariff of 34% was imposed on China, but it was later increased to 84%.
The US Court of Appeals ruled that the import tariffs imposed by President Trump can remain in effect while a legal complaint is being considered.
