Tariff Rates
- *25% tariff*: Imposed on imports from Canada and Mexico, with Canadian energy resources facing a lower 10% tariff.
- *10% tariff*: Imposed on imports from China, with plans to increase to 20% or even 125% in some cases.
- *Baseline tariff*: A 10% additional tariff on US imports from all countries, with some exceptions.
Affected Countries
- *Canada and Mexico*: $900 billion worth of imports affected, with Canada facing a 25% tariff on most goods and Mexico facing a 25% tariff on all imports.
- *China*: Imports worth around $440 billion affected, with tariffs increasing to 20% above January levels and potentially reaching 125% in some cases.
Sector-Specific Tariffs
- *Cars and parts*: 25% tariffs imposed on imported cars and key parts, effective April 2.
- *Steel and aluminum*: 25% tariffs imposed on all US steel and aluminum imports, effective March 12.
Retaliatory Measures
