Ripple Strengthens Blockchain Education in Asia-Pacific with an Investment of Over 5 Million Dollars

Ripple has announced a strategic commitment to expand blockchain research in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, investing over 5 million dollars to promote innovation, education, and talent development.

🔍 According to an article published on June 10 in Ripple Insights, the APAC region represents a true epicenter of global digital finance, with rapidly growing fintech markets, innovative neobanks, and a regulatory environment favorable to the adoption of digital assets.

🌏 Educational Focus: The UBRI Initiative

At the heart of this commitment is Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), now in its seventh year. This global program supports universities and researchers by providing funding, tools, and resources to promote the adoption of blockchain at the academic and entrepreneurial levels.

🎓 Ripple has renewed or initiated collaborations in six countries, including:

🇰🇷 South Korea: renewal of the 1.1 million dollar partnership with Korea University.

🇯🇵 Japan: continuation of research projects with Kyoto University.

🇸🇬 Singapore: funding to NTU and renewal of collaboration with NUS, ranked in 2021 as the best university in the world for blockchain.

🇹🇼 Taiwan: new collaboration with the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), focusing on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).

🇦🇺 Australia: renewal of funding to the Australian National University and new partnership with Victoria University, for a total investment of 1.3 million dollars in the country.

💡 This strengthening of the UBRI in APAC demonstrates Ripple's commitment to developing global leadership in blockchain, fostering interoperability and the concrete adoption of Web3 technologies starting from universities.
