Having traded for so long and achieved some results, I believe that what truly awakens a trader is pain. The enlightenment in trading often does not arise from repeated profits, but quietly takes root in the numbness and collapse after repeated account losses and liquidations. It is crushed time and again by the market and dragged into the abyss by human nature; this is the so-called necessary path to enlightenment.
The numbers in the account keep shrinking, the trading plan is breached by the market, and staring blankly at the screen, your heart repeatedly tests the edge of collapse countless times. You will find that the once confident and self-assured person, who thought of themselves as a genius trader, is pressed down and rubbed against the ground by the market without mercy. This is the tribulation of traders, and not everyone can withstand it.
If you grit your teeth and endure those darkest nights, and get through those most painful moments, slowly peeling away your obsessions and cutting off your illusions, no longer fixated on gains and losses, and no longer entangled in success and failure, you will suddenly find that you have changed. You will start to no longer fear losses, because you know that learning to cut losses is a necessary skill to become a mature trader. You will no longer crave violence because you understand that stable profits are the most worthwhile state to pursue in trading.
You have learned to let go of obsessions, see yourself clearly, and respect the market. From this moment on, you can be considered to have truly embarked on the path of trading.
As long as the heart does not die, the way will not be born. Let's encourage each other!
