🇺🇦 On June 10, a draft law No. 13356 appeared in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to allow the National Bank of Ukraine to include virtual assets in the country's foreign exchange reserves.
According to the co-author of the document, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the proposal does not obligate the NBU to take any actions and does not set any deadlines or methods for building the reserve. The list of assets for inclusion will also be left to the discretion of the National Bank.
The absence of a separate law on cryptocurrencies will not hinder the implementation of the reserve, according to the authors, since in Ukraine, virtual assets are regulated at the level of the Civil Code and are classified as digital goods.
