#NasdaqETFUpdate The Nasdaq cryptocurrency index has recently expanded its composition from five to nine digital assets, adding Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), and Stellar Lumens (XLM). Previously, the index included only Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Chainlink (LINK), and Uniswap (UNI).

However, the NCIQ ETF currently does not have permission to hold the newly added assets due to existing SEC regulations, which limit it to investing solely in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

To change this, Nasdaq ISE, LLC submitted a proposal to amend the regulations to the SEC on March 7. If approved, the ETF will be able to adjust its holdings to the modified index and invest directly in additional altcoins.
