$ETH Ethereum (ETH): the engine of decentralized finance and DApps

Ethereum remains at the center of the crypto universe, with a market cap above $400 billion and over 27 million addresses holding ETH in 2025. Recently, it launched the Pectra upgrade (May 7, 2025), the largest since the Merge in 2022. With 11 EIPs, Pectra enhances usability (accounts with smart contract functions, payment of fees with tokens) and validation infrastructure, allowing up to 2,048 ETH per validator. This reduces technical barriers and encourages institutional staking while increasing overall efficiency.

Today, over 34 million ETH are staked (about 28% of the total, with an average yield of around 3.7% per year). Increased blobs and interoperability with Layer-2 ensure lower fees and scalability for rollups.

💡 Why does this matter?

Pectra improves user experience, strengthens network security, and makes staking more accessible and efficient. For those investing or building on Ethereum, this represents a more robust, scalable, and institutional future.
