What is a Trading Pair?
A trading pair is two assets that can be traded against each other on an exchange platform. The most common examples are:
> BTC/USDT
> This means you are trading Bitcoin against USDT (Tether).
> If you buy, you are exchanging USDT for BTC.
> If you sell, you are exchanging BTC for USDT.
Understand Base & Quote
*mBase Currency: The first asset (e.g., BTC)
Quote Currency: The second asset (e.g., USDT)
Example: BTC/USDT = 68,000 → means 1 BTC is worth 68,000 USDT.
Types of Trading Pairs
1. Crypto-to-Stable (BTC/USDT, ETH/BUSD)
→ Common & suitable for beginners. Easier to understand as it is equivalent to USD. High liquidity, low spread.
2. Crypto-to-Crypto* (ETH/BTC, SOL/ETH)
→ Suitable for advanced traders. For exchanging between assets without going through stablecoins. Used if you want to outperform other assets.
3. Fiat-to-Crypto (BTC/IDR, ETH/USD)
→ Buy crypto directly with official currency. Usually available on local exchanges.
