When I started investing in crypto, I was motivated… but also poorly prepared.
I wasted time, sometimes a bit of money, but I mainly learned a lot.
Here are 3 mistakes I made at the beginning that you can easily avoid.
❌ 1. Buying without understanding what you are buying
I saw “trendy” cryptos on social media (like DOGE or SHIBA) and bought them without understanding the project.
📌 What I should have done: Read a brief description of the project (on CoinMarketCap or Binance), understand its utility, its team, etc.
❌ 2. Not using a stop-loss
I thought that “it would definitely go back up.” Result: -40% on a position…
📌 Lesson: Always set a stop-loss, even mentally, so as not to let emotions take over.
❌ 3. Leaving your cryptos on an exchange without precautions
I didn't even know the concept of a crypto wallet or 2FA.
📌 Solution: Enable two-factor authentication (2FA), and if you have large amounts, use an external wallet (like Trust Wallet or Ledger).
✅ Conclusion
Are you a beginner? It's normal to make mistakes.
But if you avoid these, you already gain a good head start!
