Charts are tools not predictors.

A chart presents the profile of the price action of an asset. Therefore, the longer the timeframe and the more samples collected the more accurate the profile that describes the behavior of its market participants and the prevailing bias would be.

Only the long term imparts something meaningful about price action and interest on an asset, its recurrent patterns, etc.

Naturally, there are "excellent" and "terrible" charts as much as there is good and wrong.

The perspective determines what is promising or not, but whether you go long and short, you should always mind price levels, as patterns and formations are very subjective.
