#CryptoSecurity101
When it comes to storing cryptocurrencies, security is a priority. Digital wallets are divided into two main types: hot and cold.
Hot Wallets are connected to the internet. They are convenient for daily use, such as sending and receiving coins quickly. Examples include mobile apps, browser extensions, and exchanges. However, being online makes them more vulnerable to attacks and malware.
Cold Wallets are not connected to the internet. They are ideal for storing large amounts for the long term with greater security. They include hardware wallets (like Ledger or Trezor) and paper wallets. Being offline greatly reduces the risk of hacking.
