US President Donald Trump criticized billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday, saying he feels "disappointed" due to Musk's public opposition to the comprehensive tax and spending bill that is at the heart of Trump's agenda, while Musk said, "Without me, the US president would have lost the election."
Trump stated in a comment at the White House, "Elon and I have a great relationship.. I don't know if we will remain that way after this."
He added, "He has said the nicest things about me, and he hasn't said bad things about me personally, except I'm sure that will come later. But I feel very disappointed in Elon.. I have helped him a lot."
Trump also confirmed that Musk launched a fierce attack on the bill due to the proposed elimination of tax exemptions for electric vehicle owners.
