#TradingPairs101 Trading Pairs 101 – What Are You Really Trading?
A trading pair shows what two assets you're swapping — like BTC/USDT or ETH/ADA.
The first asset is what you're buying or selling. The second is what you're using to price it.
Example:
BTC/USDT = Buying BTC with USDT
If BTC/USDT = 70,000, that means 1 BTC costs 70,000 USDT.
There are two main types:
1. Crypto-to-Stable (e.g. ETH/USDT) – Great for tracking dollar value
2. Crypto-to-Crypto (e.g. ADA/ETH) – Useful for flipping between coins
Choose pairs based on your goal: growing fiat, stacking sats, or rotating alt positions.
Pro tip: Liquidity and volume vary by pair — always check before trading.
