March 2025 The original report showed a gain of +185,000 nonfarm payrolls. This has now been revised down by 65,000, to +120,000 jobs .

April 2025 The initial estimate of +177,000 jobs has been revised down by 30,000, to +147,000 .

Combined Adjustment Together, March and April employment figures have been reduced by a total of 95,000 jobs .

These downward revisions come as the BLS states they corrected “minor errors” in survey weighting tied to a redesigned Current Population Survey .

Despite the lower payroll figures, important headline metrics remain unchanged:

Unemployment rate has stuck at 4.2% for both March and April .

The May 2025 report, released June 6, added +139,000 jobs, with the unemployment rate still 4.3%
