In the previous article, I expressed some USD1 views using 'political narrative + decentralized belief'.
In this article, I want to discuss the transformation of a stablecoin from 'coin' to 'entry'.
In the crypto space, stablecoins are usually just tools used for hedging, transferring, or as collateral for loans.
And the ambition of USD1 is not just stability, but to leverage stability to open the gateway to on-chain traffic.
From the recent combinations launched by @worldlibertyfi, we can observe that what they want to create is actually 'a new type of crypto traffic platform'.
✔️ Observation 1: Using 'stablecoin + airdrop' as a narrative.
USD1 is not giving airdrops to veteran players, but rather 'each participant in the subscription receives an airdrop of 47 coins', symbolizing the 47th president. It's not about giving coins to users, but about fueling the story. It’s not asking you 'Do you want to claim?', but telling you 'hello, I’m here!'
✔️ Observation 2: The stablecoin is just the entry; the platform is the real layout.
#WLFI's launched TRUMP wallet is not just a wallet, but an entry ecosystem that extends from stablecoins.
Starting from the wallet, lock USD1 into your asset visual, transforming it from 'coin' into 'your Web3 starting screen'.
This reminds me that perhaps in the past, the competition in the crypto space was about who launched coins or projects first. What WLFI is competing for might be: who can become the first stop for on-chain habits?
Just like how I habitually scroll through Twitter when I open my phone, WLFI wants you to see USD1 as soon as you open the chain.
✔️ Observation 3: USD1 is a narrative-based stablecoin.
The stablecoins we recognized in the past are tool-based and engineering-based: the trust in USDT and USDC comes from reserve assets, audit reports, and circulation scale.
But the trust logic of USD1 is somewhat different.
It relies on symbolism, rhythm, and narrative design. From the identity of the president, to building a dedicated wallet, to launching liquidity, all of these are evident.
It also made me start thinking about a question:
Are we witnessing a new form of stablecoin?
Future stablecoins may not just be USDT and USDC, but on one side, there are product-based stablecoins that strive for trust through auditing, transparency, and financial compliance.
Or one side establishes discourse power through symbolic meaning, traffic narratives, and social sentiment, creating a narrative-based stablecoin.
✔️ So here’s the question, if USD1 is just a stablecoin, then it should obediently act as a tool.
But WLFI's approach is: using stablecoins as narrative leverage, using memes as traffic channels, and finally allowing users to become asset pairers and liquidity contributors through voluntary participation.
Maybe it's not the most stable, but it is likely the one that understands the flow of traffic the best. Right?
Lastly, I would like to hear your thoughts.
