#TradingPairs101 A #TradingPair in crypto specifies which two assets you're exchanging. It's always presented as Base/Quote – you're buying or selling the Base currency using the Quote currency.
Examples:
* BTC/USDT: You're trading Bitcoin (BTC) for Tether (USDT). If you buy, you spend USDT to get BTC. If you sell, you get USDT for your BTC.
* ETH/BTC: You're trading Ethereum (ETH) for Bitcoin (BTC).
Understanding pairs is fundamental. The quote currency is what you "pay with," and the base currency is what you "receive" or "sell." Choosing the right pair depends on your strategy and desired currency.
