Circle, the issuer of the second largest stablecoin by market capitalization, USDC, has begun trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Circle's CEO, Jeremy Allaire, announced on June 5 on X the public debut of CRCL shares on the NYSE.
The company's IPO comes 12 years after Allaire co-founded Circle along with Sean Neville with the mission of reshaping the global economic system "reimagining it and rebuilding it from scratch natively on the Internet," according to the CEO.
