#TradingPairs101
It refers to the basic concept in cryptocurrency and forex markets where two different assets are traded against each other. A trading pair shows what you’re buying and what you’re selling—for example, BTC/ETH means you're trading Bitcoin for Ethereum. The first asset is the base currency, and the second is the quote currency. Prices reflect how much of the quote currency is needed to buy one unit of the base currency. Understanding trading pairs helps traders navigate exchanges, spot opportunities, and manage risk. Common pairs include crypto/crypto, crypto/fiat, and fiat/fiat combinations. Mastering this is key to smart trading.
