On Monday, Meta planet announced that it had purchased the Bitcoin stack for 16.88 billion Japanese yen 117 million usd. The firm now holds 10,000 Bitcoin. The average price of Metaplanet’s 10,000 BTC now stands at 13.9 million Japanese yen, approximately $96,400 per Bitcoin.

On Monday, Meta planet announced that it had purchased the Bitcoin stack for 16.88 billion Japanese yen 117 million usd. The firm now holds 10,000 Bitcoin. The average price of Metaplanet’s 10,000 BTC now stands at 13.9 million Japanese yen, approximately $96,400 per Bitcoin. It comes just two weeks after Meta planet became the eighth-largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. Meta planet issues $210M bonds to buy Bitcoin It came the same day Meta planet announced that its board of directors had resolved to issue $210 million via no-interest bonds, and that it raised that figure to buy more Bitcoin. The firm has drastically revised its Bitcoin strategy in recent months and now intends to hold 210,000 BTC by the end of 2027. So far, Meta planet has completed the purchase of 10,000 BTC and will need to buy an additional 200,000 BTC over the next 18 months.

$BTC Trump Media and Technology Group, the firm majority-owned by U.S. President Donald Trump that runs his Truth Social platform, said on Friday that the SEC declared effective the registration for its previously-announced Bitcoin treasury plan. The firm's approximately 2.3 billion USD in capital raised from around 50 institutional investors has thus been unlocked and can be used to purchase BTC at any time. The firm declined to detail how much BTC it plans to acquire in its prospectus, which states that Trump Media "...will acquire its bitcoin and bitcoin-related holdings in the amounts and on the timeline it deems optimal."
