Circle, officially known as Circle Internet Group, Inc., is a peer-to-peer payment technology company that manages the USDC stablecoin, which is pegged to the US dollar. Founded in October 2013 by Jeremy Allaire and Sean Neville, Circle is currently headquartered in New York, although it was initially founded in Boston.

Regarding its initial public offering (IPO), this is a process by which a private company becomes public by selling shares to institutional and retail investors. Through an IPO, companies can raise new capital, monetize the investments of private shareholders, and facilitate the trading of shares on the open market.
