#TradingPairs101 What Are Trading Pairs?

A trading pair is a market between two different assets that you can trade. It shows how much of one asset you need to buy one unit of the other.

📌 Format:

BASE/QUOTE

Base currency: The first asset in the pair (the one you are buying or selling).

Quote currency: The second asset (used to price the base).

💡 Examples:

1. BTC/USD

BTC = Bitcoin (base)

USD = US Dollar (quote)

If BTC/USD = 40,000 → 1 BTC = 40,000 USD

2. ETH/BTC

ETH = Ethereum

BTC = Bitcoin

If ETH/BTC = 0.07 → 1 ETH = 0.07 BTC
