SEC sues Ripple: legal filings drag on as appeal deadline approaches

The important deadline of June 16 in the case between the SEC and Ripple is approaching, raising concerns in the investment community due to the lack of additional filings submitted to the court. Previously, on May 15, Judge Analisa Torres rejected the SEC's request for a preliminary ruling to lift the ban on selling XRP to institutional investors and reduce the $125 million fine. Whether Ripple withdraws its cross-appeal and the SEC withdraws its separate appeal will depend on whether Judge Torres approves the proposed settlement terms.
