Pi Network Mainnet Launch: Here's What I Think (and Many of You Do Too)

1. Yes, It’s Exciting – But Where’s the Roadmap?

Let’s be real. The global Mainnet sounds amazing—but can we finally get a proper roadmap?

Enough with the mystery. We deserve transparency. We’ve been here for years, mining, building, running nodes. The least we should have now is a detailed, public plan.

I’ve seen node operators say they’ve been active for over a year, yet they’re still in the dark. And I feel that.

2. Node Operators Deserve Better

We’ve been holding the network together, maintaining uptime, securing it day and night.

But now, some of us feel ignored. What’s our role post-Mainnet?

There’s a worry that once the network scales globally, those of us who believed in Pi from the start might be sidelined in favor of profits. That’s not what decentralization should look like.

3. We Can’t Ignore Centralization Concerns

Let’s not sugarcoat it—too much control still sits with the Pi core team.

If decision-making stays top-down, it’s going to erode trust.

Decentralization isn’t just a word—it’s the foundation. If one entity holds the keys, what kind of decentralized future is that?

4. The Hype Is Real—And I Get It

Despite the concerns, I can’t lie—this is what we’ve been waiting for.

A global Mainnet means real potential, real visibility. I see the energy online—fire emojis, countdowns, celebration.

Let’s not lose that spark.

5. But Utility Will Be the Real Test

Here’s the real question: Can I use Pi in real life?

There are some early signs—pilot marketplaces, a few merchant trials. That’s a start.

But if we still can’t use Pi to buy something as simple as a cup of coffee, what’s the point?

Mainnet isn’t the finish line—it’s just the beginning. Real-world adoption is what will make or break Pi.
