The Chinese AI company DeepSeek announced an upgrade to its chat model, confirming that the new version now has better general reasoning, improved mathematical and programming capabilities, and a lower hallucination rate.
According to the company, the updated model DeepSeek-R1-0528 has "significantly improved the depth of its reasoning and logical analysis capabilities." The company added that the performance of the new model "has become close to the performance of leading models such as O3 and Gemini 2.5 Pro."
