🇫🇷 In France, 25 participants in a series of crypto kidnappings have been charged
The Paris prosecutor's office reported that 25 people (including 6 minors) have been accused of involvement in a series of attempted kidnappings of well-known figures in the crypto industry and their families.
The targets of the attacks were prominent figures from the crypto sphere and their families. One of the incidents involved an attempted kidnapping of the daughter and grandson of Paymium CEO Pierre Noizat. The attack was thwarted, and the victims sustained minor injuries.
Only the perpetrators and coordinators have been detained. The main organizers remain at large.
The French Ministry of the Interior is already strengthening cooperation with the crypto industry: security checks and new insurance against kidnapping risks are planned.
