What is the difference between USDT and USDC?
#USDT (Tether) and $USDC (USD Coin) are stablecoins, meaning cryptocurrencies linked to the US dollar. While their purpose is similar, there are key differences.
USDT is issued by Tether Limited and is the most widely used stablecoin in the world. It has high liquidity and presence on almost all exchanges. However, it has been criticized for its lack of transparency in reserves.
USDC, on the other hand, is issued by Circle and Coinbase. It is regulated in the U.S. and offers regular audits, which generates greater trust among institutional users.
In summary:
USDT is more popular and liquid,
USDC is more transparent and regulated.
The choice depends on your priorities: quick access or regulatory security?
