$BTC Triple-A's statistics show that Vietnam ranks second in the list of countries with the highest percentage of cryptocurrency ownership in the world.
Statistics from the cryptocurrency payment gateway Triple-A, published last week, show that the UAE is in first place with a rate of 34.4%. Vietnam ranks second with a rate of 21.2% of the population owning cryptocurrency, higher than the US in third place (15.6%).
Triple-A stated that the high rate of cryptocurrency ownership in the UAE is due to the government's friendly policies towards new technology. The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA-ADGM) has provided guidelines and regulations related to the buying and selling of cryptocurrency. Authorities have also proposed tax exemptions for owners and businesses operating in the cryptocurrency sector.
Meanwhile, Vietnam does not allow transactions of goods using cryptocurrency, and the ownership of cryptocurrency remains in a gray area, making it an attractive asset.
