$BTC Bitcoin (BTC) is in decline this Friday (30) and has accumulated losses of 2.6% over the last seven days. Meanwhile, ether (ETH), the second largest cryptocurrency in the world by market value, records gains of 2.4% in the same period. In the month, BTC had an appreciation of 12.1%, while ether rose 45.3%.

This Friday, cryptocurrencies are following the negative performance of risk assets in general, even after the release of the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index for the United States for April, which grew by 0.1%, in line with economists' expectations. On a yearly basis, PCE growth was 2.1%, while an increase of 2.2% was expected. Inflation data in line with or below expectations generally brings a positive impact to equity markets.
