Jin Yong has already seen through many things.
The Sweeping Monk in "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" bluntly says:
There are very few who have mastered the 72 ultimate skills of Shaolin—
Because behind each ultimate skill, there needs to be corresponding Buddhist practice.
Top experts like Jiu Mo Zhi and Xiao Yuan Shan frantically pursue techniques, yet turn a blind eye to the Buddhist scriptures, ultimately being backfired by their own skills.
Isn't it quite similar to the crypto world?
Some people know all the indicators, have a complete set of strategies, and conduct flashy backtests, but their mindset can't keep up, unable to withstand fluctuations, making profits only to lose them, and being unable to last in the end.
To put it bluntly—
Skills are the ability to make money, while the Dao is the ability to control.
If you want to manage large funds and make money in the long term, but only focus on "techniques" without cultivating your "mindset", then you are just a high-spec version of Jiu Mo Zhi, and will eventually blow up.
Real veterans understand one thing:
Practice swordsmanship when it's time to practice swordsmanship, and recite scriptures when it's time to recite scriptures.
— Skills are necessary, but the principles of the mind are even more essential.
