Elon Musk has officially resigned as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President Trump. In a post on X, Musk thanked the team and said DOGE's mission to cut waste will continue strong.

His departure follows criticism of Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which Musk called counterproductive to fiscal efficiency.

Despite stepping down, VP J.D. Vance noted Musk remains a close adviser and friend to the president.
