The Steak 'n Shake restaurant chain has started accepting payments in Bitcoin via the Lightning Network since May 16 at legally permitted locations, including the United States, France, Monaco, and Spain. The restaurant stated that payments in Bitcoin are faster than credit cards and help save about 50% on transaction processing fees. Steak 'n Shake sees this as a "win for customers, merchants, and the Bitcoin community."
