Ethereum validators begin signaling for a significant increase in the gas limit per block

Over 150,000 Ethereum validators, accounting for about 15% of the total network, are signaling support for a substantial increase in the gas limit per block

Increasing the gas limit will allow for more data and transactions to be processed in each block. This change does not require a hard fork; it will take effect automatically when more than 50% of validators signal support.
