📻 A developer has unveiled an open-source project from a hackathon called "Darkwire" that allows Bitcoin transactions to be conducted without the need for an internet connection, using long-range radio waves.
Transactions are passed from one node to another until they reach an exit point connected to the internet that broadcasts them on the Bitcoin network.
The developer known as "Cyber" explained that "Darkwire" could be essential or desirable in cases where traditional communication infrastructure, such as the internet, power grid, or mobile networks, is unavailable or under control.
