Yesterday, a friend new to the cryptocurrency world sought my advice, and I provided some simple guidance. For newcomers, mastering a solid investment strategy is key to preventing losses and achieving long-term gains. Based on multiple professional guides and practical experience, I summarized the following three pieces of advice:
1. Understand the nature of the market:
Cryptocurrency is a high-risk, high-volatility asset, so it is essential to abandon the idea of getting rich overnight and make learning and accumulation the core goal.
Prioritize learning the basic concepts of blockchain and mainstream cryptocurrencies, and avoid blindly following trends to invest in altcoins.
2. Strict loss and profit limits:
You should stop losses immediately when a single trade loses more than 10%, and take profits in batches when gains reach 20%-30%, to avoid making wrong decisions due to greed or panic.
Daily losses should not exceed two times to avoid frequent trading.
3. Do not hold a lucky mindset:
During periods of high market volatility, many newcomers may impulsively enter the market just because "I feel it will go up" or "it will go down."
The market often punishes such mindsets; there is no shortage of "newbies" in the market. If you cannot grasp the market conditions, do not enter easily; understand that luck will not always be on your side.
