♦️ The President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, criticized on Monday the "horrible language" used by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the European Union, in response to his comments that the bloc was formed to exploit the United States.
♦️ Lagarde pointed out in statements to the German "ARD" station that Washington encouraged the formation of the European Union, adding that "to say it was actually intended to harm the United States is completely contrary to common sense, it contradicts history, and certainly that is not the goal of this region."
