📢 Newbie must-read for ALPHA! Wallet poisoning and pit avoidance guide. After reading, you can avoid 99% of the pitfalls!
Many friends have been asking me these days about receiving other tokens while earning Alpha points. They want to know what’s going on! Here’s a unified explanation: these tokens are fake, they are sent by bad actors to poison your wallet. If you inadvertently add them and authorize, they will steal your funds. So, for those who are a bit confused, please read this article carefully! Never click on authorization! If you have authorized, cancel the authorization immediately and transfer your funds! If you don’t know where to check authorizations, see the image below. On the main wallet asset interface, there is an authorization point where you can see all the various tokens you have authorized. If they are not needed, you can click to cancel the authorization, and everyone can check for themselves. Let me explain what a wallet “poisoning attack” is!!!
🔍 What is a wallet “poisoning attack”?
Hackers airdrop a small amount of worthless tokens (like altcoins or counterfeit coins) to your wallet address, which seems like “giving away money,” but is actually a trap!
- They will use these tokens to confuse your transaction records, tricking you into making mistakes, and even guiding you to transfer assets to a forged address;
- More dangerously, once you authorize, swap, or claim these tokens, your wallet could be stolen directly!
🚨 If you receive unfamiliar tokens, do these 2 things immediately!
✅ Step one: Do not touch it!
No matter how “valuable” the token looks, remember: do not send, do not authorize, do not swap, do not check details, do not claim!
(Gaining small advantages can lead to big losses; hackers are waiting for you to click in👀)
✅ Step two: If you accidentally clicked, remedy immediately!
1. Revoke authorization
On the Binance wallet main interface, there is an authorization entry at the top of the assets, click in to cancel. Or check wallet authorization records using Revoke.cash or Debank to cancel suspicious authorizations with one click!
2. Transfer assets
Immediately create a new wallet and transfer all assets from the original wallet; directly abandon the old wallet!
💡 Newbie's anti-pit mantra:
Do not touch unfamiliar tokens, authorization actions are a minefield;
If abnormalities are found, revoke authorization quickly, transfer assets to ensure safety!
