⚠️ Telegram no longer provides privacy protection for cloud chat users.
According to Telegram's latest privacy policy:
"If Telegram receives a valid order from a judicial authority confirming that you are suspected of criminal activity that violates Telegram's terms of service, we will disclose your IP address, phone number, and user data."
This indicates that Telegram no longer commits to protecting the data privacy of users who are not using end-to-end encryption; all content in cloud chats (messages, images, documents, etc.) may be submitted to law enforcement under specific conditions.
To use Telegram for private communication, be sure to enable secret chats.
