A federal appeals court has overturned a ruling that prohibited the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump from stripping hundreds of thousands of federal employees of the right to unionize and engage in collective bargaining over working conditions.

A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, in a 2-1 decision, lifted the injunction previously imposed in response to a lawsuit filed by the National Treasury Employees Union. That injunction had blocked the implementation of Trump’s executive order, issued in March, which sought to limit union activity among federal workers.
