WHAT'S THAT?!
What is #альткоины in simple terms - it is any cryptocurrency that is not Bitcoin.
There are a huge number of altcoins:
- Major and well-known: Ethereum, which is a platform for creating other cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications.
- #стейблкоин are altcoins whose prices are pegged to real assets (for example, the US dollar) to reduce volatility (price fluctuations). Example: USDT (Tether).
- #Мемкоины Cryptocurrencies created as a joke or based on internet memes, but sometimes gaining huge popularity (for example, Dogecoin).
- #токены some altcoins are not full-fledged cryptocurrencies with their own blockchain network, but operate on the basis of other blockchains. They are often called "tokens".
