Trump: Dealing with the European Union is very difficult. Their powerful trade barriers, value-added taxes, ridiculous corporate penalties, non-monetary trade barriers, monetary manipulations, unfair and baseless lawsuits against American companies, and much more have led to a trade deficit with the U.S. of over 250,000,000 dollars a year, which is completely unacceptable. Our negotiations with them will lead to nothing! Therefore, I recommend imposing a direct 50% tariff on the European Union starting June 1, 2025. If a product is produced or manufactured in the United States, there will be no tariff.
