Buckle up, because we're taking off into the meme stratosphere $DOGE !
Dogecoin — the most serious cryptocurrency that never intended to be serious.
Dogecoin (DOGE): The cryptocurrency that joked — and accidentally became a billion-dollar phenomenon
Slogan: “Much wow. Very coin. Such gains.”
Origin: How one joke cost billions:
In 2013, two programmers — Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer — created Dogecoin literally overnight, just to... laugh at the cryptocurrency hype. They took $Litecoin, made a fork, inserted a Shiba Inu dog from the 'Doge' meme, and... rolled it out on Reddit.
The result? The community is like: “Why not?” And off it went.
Elon's rocket: “Dogecoin to the Moon!”
And then Elon Musk entered the game. He started tweeting about Dogecoin in the style of:
> “Dogecoin is the people’s crypto.”
> “No highs, no lows, only Doge.”
> “DOGE to the moooon!”
After each of those tweets, the DOGE price jumped like Bitcoin on Red Bull.
In May 2021, when Musk appeared on Saturday Night Live and joked about Dogecoin — the price fell. But before that, it had risen nearly 100 times in a year! After that, there were so many jokes that Doge became more of a political and cultural phenomenon than just a cryptocurrency.
Dogecoin Foundation: from joke — to reality

Dogecoin features:
- Almost zero fees
- Ultra-fast transactions
- Perfect for tipping (tipping coin)
- No maximum supply — inflationary model
Fun fact:
In 2014, the Dogecoin community raised $50,000 to send the Jamaican bobsleigh team to the Olympics. This is not a joke. This is Doge.
