Solana Mobile announces the launch of the Seeker smartphone and the new SKR token
Solana bets on the expansion of the Web3 mobile ecosystem with the presentation of TEEPIN, its decentralized infrastructure, and the launch of the SKR token, along with the Seeker smartphone, scheduled for August 4, 2025.
Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, has revealed its new decentralized architecture, TEEPIN, in addition to announcing the native SKR token. It also confirmed the launch of its second crypto smartphone, Seeker, with a set release date.
The announcements are part of its strategy to build a mobile ecosystem based on Web3, where decentralization and community participation are key.
What is TEEPIN?
TEEPIN, short for Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network, is a three-layer architecture that seeks to transform the interaction with mobile devices on Blockchain.
According to Anatoly Yakovenko, CEO and co-founder of Solana Labs, "TEEPIN redefines trust in mobile devices, eliminating the dependence on a central authority and validating through cryptography."
The system utilizes secure hardware present in modern smartphones and regulates access with on-chain mechanisms, facilitating interaction without intermediaries.
This architecture could also expand to other hardware manufacturers, promoting the adoption of devices compatible with the Web3 ecosystem.
The SKR token: decentralized participation and rewards
SKR will be the economic base within this infrastructure, designed to distribute benefits among users, developers, and manufacturers.
"This model allows participants to have real ownership of the platform," said Emmett Hollyer, general manager of Solana Mobile.
The team informed on X that the initial distribution will be aimed at those who build and use the system, without privileged intermediaries.
