Whale Alert, a company specializing in tracking large cryptocurrency transfers and sharing the details on its website and X account, was able to detect a massive amount of XRP transferred by unknown wallets.
The transaction took place 12 hours ago and has sparked enthusiastic discussion among the XRP community on social media platform X.
Meanwhile, the price of XRP dropped by 2.3% today after rising by 4.95% on Monday. It is currently trading at $2.34.
75,220,590 XRP is on the move. The mentioned data source reported that 12 hours ago, an unknown whale transferred 75,220,590 XRP to another wallet classified by Whale Alert as 'unknown'.
The value of this cryptocurrency was $178,626,405 at the start of the transfer. The cryptocurrency community began a heated discussion in the comments section, speculating on what this transaction means under current market conditions, and who the unknown sender and receiver might be.
Details shared by the XRPscan tracker showed that while the sender was indeed an unknown wallet, the destination was a crypto address linked to the major cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, which has offices worldwide and is headquartered in Singapore.

Ripple's post confirmed that Ripple or any of its leaders (CEO Garlinghouse, or President Monica Long or Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz) would not ask the community to send them private data or any cryptocurrency in order to receive double that amount later.
