#BinancePizza Celebrating !!!!

- This month, the most famous cryptocurrency in the world turns 15 years since its first transaction. While the world celebrates this anniversary on May 22, Binance, a provider of blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure, celebrates not only a historical event but a significant milestone in the journey of innovation and cryptocurrency adoption in Latin America and around the world, at a time when hundreds of millions of people have already entered this market.

Bitcoin Pizza Day marks the first recorded purchase with Bitcoin, when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas in 2010. This seemingly trivial transaction at the time has become a symbol of Bitcoin's evolution, from an innovative concept to a transformative financial technology. The 10,000 BTC used by Laszlo to pay US $41 for two pizzas would now be worth over US $1 billion, demonstrating the consolidation of cryptocurrency as a relevant financial asset and instrument over all these years.

"Looking to the future, we remain focused on our users and committed to supporting the growth and adoption of cryptocurrencies at scale, driving innovation and empowering people and communities through the transformative power of blockchain technology. All of this is underpinned by transparency, security, and the protection of users' resources, which are core values for Binance. The support of the Web3 community is essential on this journey," stated Guilherme Nazar, regional vice president of Binance for Latin America.

In the last 15 years, Bitcoin has transitioned from a niche asset for technology enthusiasts to a global phenomenon, driving the development of a whole ecosystem of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. This anniversary is a testament to its remarkable trajectory and highlights the achievements in innovation and adoption that have transformed the financial landscape.
