The Argentine justice system is investigating President Javier Milei and his sister Karina for alleged fraud related to the cryptocurrency $Libra. Judge María Servini requested information from the Central Bank regarding the bank accounts of both and others involved, including crypto operators Mauricio Novelli and Manuel Terrones Godoy, and former advisor Sergio Morales. Following Milei's promotion in February, $Libra briefly skyrocketed before plummeting, causing millions in losses to thousands of investors. In addition to the criminal case, there is a civil lawsuit for 4.5 million dollars and three parallel investigations: one in Congress, another in the United States, and one from the Executive Power.
